Keeping the Microwave Clean

Your kitchen is your pride and joy, the most-used room in your home, and, quite frankly, probably cost the most. We spend countless time customizing and upgrading our kitchens! Once you have your perfect kitchen, you must start doing the work to keep it sparkling and clean. The areas most used in a kitchen are the appliances, and today we are going to start with the simplest one: the microwave.

The microwave is the go-to appliance when we want something hot and quick. And though it may be one of the messiest tools we use, it is also the easiest to clean! Clean your entire microwave in less than one minute using the steps below!

Step 1: Put together a mixture of vinegar and water in a spray bottle: 1 part vinegar 2 parts water.

Step 2: Spray the entire inside of the microwave with the mixture.

Step 3: Start the microwave and run it for 10 seconds.

Step 4: Take a cleaning cloth and wipe the interior of the microwave and both sides of the turn plate.

Step 5: Take a slightly damp rag and wipe down the outside of the microwave, especially the buttons
and handle.

Doing these simple steps just once a week will help keep your microwave clean and will reduce build up. Avoid the risk of built-up residue and odors that may linger after certain foods have been cooked. Stay tuned for next week’s blog that will have tips and tricks to keeping your stove and oven clean!
